The choice of precision mold frame is determined by the characteristics of the product and the number of mold cavities, and the standard precision mold is usually only three types: two plate molds, simplified three-plate molds, and standard three-plate molds.
① According to the structure of the mold, to meet the purpose of mold molding and according to the requirements of the customer specified precision mold standard selection, can use two plate mold, do not use three plate mold, because the second plate mold structure is simple and the manufacturing cost is low.
② Priority to select standard precision mold frame. If the size of the standard precision mold frame can not meet the design requirements, non-standard precision mold frame can be used, do not reluctantly use the standard precision mold frame. When the product must use the point gate, the three-plate mold precision mold holder is selected. The hot runner mold uses two plate mold precision mold frame.
(3) The selected precision mold frame should be suitable for the technical parameters of the injection molding machine, can meet the larger and minimum closure degree, and meet the ejection stroke and ejection mode in the opening mold stroke. The overall size should be less than 5mm between the columns of the injection molding machine, and the size should be small and not large on the premise of ensuring that the mold has enough strength and rigidity. For the selection of straight mold and I-type precision mold, usually the three-plate mold uses I-type precision mold, and the general mold uses a straight mold because the shape is limited by the injection machine.
④ When the cavity and core of the mold take the overall structure, plate A and plate B should be pressed to order the standard precision mold frame of the material required by the template, and the material grade and heat treatment requirements should be marked in the drawing of the precision mold frame.
⑤ The standard precision mold frame with insert structure better requires the manufacturer to process the frame size of the precision mold frame well, or leave a processing margin of 2 ~ 5mm to prevent deformation.
One of the four guide post holes of the precision mold frame is offset, therefore, when designing the mold, pay attention to the design basis of the precision mold frame, and the right Angle side of the offset guide post hole should be used as the benchmark. The molds with high precision and high life requirements use standard three-plate molds as far as possible.
The selection of standard precision mold frame depends on the size of the product, shape, cavity number, pouring form, mold structure, mold parting surface, product release mode, fixed mold and moving mold combination form, injection molding machine specifications and the designer's concept, willingness and other factors.
The selection steps of precision mold frame form
① Determine the combination form of the precision mold frame, and select the specifications and models of the precision mold frame.
② Determine the number of cavity, cavity layout, cavity perimeter size.
③ Determine the size of the template, the thickness of plates A and B and the thickness of other plates.
④ Determine the structural layout of each system.
⑤ Determine the precision mold model.
⑥ Check the selected precision mold specifications.
⑦ Determine the size of non-standard precision die frame.
