Mold frame is the skeleton of a set of molds, is the main part of the mold, it is assembled by a variety of steel plates and parts. The correct selection of the right mold is a very important part of the mold production work, because the size of the mold is reasonable or not will directly affect the quality of the mold. If the mold is not selected correctly, the result is not only that the parts can not be opened smoothly, but also that the mold will be scrapped.

The selection of the mold should be considered from the parts structure, mold parting requirements and economic costs, the principle of mold selection is as follows.

Selection conditions of large water mouth mold frame

1. The production structure is simple, the appearance requirements are not very strict, the side is allowed to have gate marks, no other special structures.

2. Do not use fine water mouth mold when using large water mouth mold. Large water mouth mold is used for a parting mold.

Fine water mouth mold frame selection conditions

1. The projection area of single cavity and molded parts on the parting die surface is large, requiring the use of fine water mouth die holder for multi-point gluing.

2. A mold with multiple cavities, of which individual parts customer requirements must be central into the glue.

3. One mold has many cavities, and the size of individual cavity is large. When using large water mouth, the gate bushing should deviate from the mold center.

4. Gear die, multi-cavity tire blowing die, etc.

5. Barrel, shell or shaped products with large height and size.

6. The mold with high product accuracy, small dimensional tolerance range and high life requirement should use a fine water die frame.

Selection condition of simplified fine nozzle die holder

1. There are large side pumping mechanisms on both sides (slider, cylinder), and the fine water mouth mold frame takes a long time, at this time, a simplified fine water mouth mold frame can be used.

2. GAI and GCI series are commonly used in GAI and GCI series for large orifice moulds with sliding blocks on the mother die side.

Warm reminder

1. When the overall size of the mold is less than 250mm(including 250mm), use the I-type mold holder. When the mold is 250~350mm, use a straight panel mold (T-type). When the mold frame is more than 400mm and there is a slider, use a straight body with a panel (T), and use a straight body without a panel (H) when there is no slider.

2. When the depth of the opening frame of the A board is deep (generally greater than 60mm), you can consider opening the frame or selecting a die frame without a panel; A plate should not be opened when the depth of A plate opening frame is deep (generally greater than 60mm), you can consider not using the panel.

3. The mold holder with the push plate must not be the guide sleeve of the female mold guide post.

4. When the mold is round, choose a mold holder with a tray.

5. When there is a slider or a die slider, the guide post must first enter 10~15mm to the inclined guide post before it can be pushed into the slide block, that is, when the guide post is particularly long, the guide post of the mother die and the guide sleeve of the male die should be used to facilitate the extension of the guide post.
